Nikki Jeffrey
Director
Nikki is a values‑driven leader with a strong background in human services, education, and psychological science. Nikki holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Teaching, and a Bachelor of Psychological Science, which together give her a solid understanding of people, behaviour, communication, and learning. This mix of qualifications helps Nikki support staff, understand complex situations, and make thoughtful, well‑informed decisions in her role as State Manager for an Allied Health Organisation providing Positive Behaviour Support in Tasmania.
Nikki cares deeply about fairness, inclusion, and making sure people with disability have a strong voice in the decisions that affect their lives. Nikki brings a calm, practical approach to governance and enjoys working with others to solve problems and improve systems.
Recently, Nikki was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Understanding this part of herself has helped Nikki make sense of how she thinks, communicates, and processes information. It has strengthened her self‑awareness, improved how she supports her teams, and deepened her commitment to creating environments where neurodivergent people can thrive. Nikki speaks openly and confidently about her experiences because she believes representation matters, especially in leadership and governance.
Nikki approaches board work with curiosity, honesty, and a strong commitment to learning. Nikki values clear communication, respectful challenge, and practical solutions. Above all, Nikki aims to contribute to organisations that are inclusive, transparent, and focused on real outcomes for the people they serve.
